Our 6-week camp theme this year will be...(*drumroll*) Maker Fun Factory! Not only is this a great theme to teach our campers that God lovingly created each of us as His masterpiece for a reason, but as staff participating in what God has been doing at SDC for the past 14 years (and since the beginning of time), we exist and serve for an even greater reason. For we are what he has made, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life. "Good works" come in all shapes, sizes, and forms, and SDC YLC 2017 is just one of many ways God calls to be our "way of life." Returning Staff, it is a joy to know that you will once again be available to serve alongside us! The most amazing part of this fun summer adventure is that the message has never changed all these years, what's changed is the way we've been presenting it. You know from previous firsthand experience that SDC YLC is also an important time for us to witness God changing kids' lives, God changing our personal lives, and God changing our SDC YLC staff families. One of the Bible points we will be exploring is "God chooses us!" We will be discussing the story of Esther, and how God chose her to save her people.
