What excites you the most about serving in youth ministry?
Seeing them come to know Jesus and wanting to have Him be a part of their lives. It may take a while, but I enjoy when they call me Uncle B. I may look old on the outside, but still youthful to a certain extent on the inside. This is important to me because I see youth as having so many more years ahead of them and it would be great to have them be the salt and light of the world as a believer in God and HIs children in sharing about God. God being the One that loves us and have given salvation to us who believe. By Uncle Barron.
What excites me most about serving in youth ministry is just getting the opportunity to inspire and teach the kids about God. For me, since I'm working with the older group, I hope to get to build a bond where they can share whats been going on in their lives, or even how was their day. Being part of being a youth leader gives me the opportunity to work with kids and it really pays off to see them grow in the journey with friends, work, and through their religious journey. It makes me excited to work with the youth ministry because as time grows I have the reward to see them become something more incredible. What really brought me back to serving this ministry is the reward. Not the money type of reward, the one that brings you joy that you're given children the opportunity to learn about God. Throughout my memories about serving in youth ministry is the worship moments that I got to spend my time with the kids and to sing to our lord. This is not only to develop a stronger relationship with the kids but also to have the kids to know more about god and what he have done for us. Actually I think I should ask this question when I almost finish the camp because the answer are going to inspire me again and again, even the camp will tired me out spiritually or physically. For me, there still has a lot of reasons that are inspiriting me. There are two main things that make me exciting about serving in SDC. One thing is the ability to take care and communicate with younger kids. I will be able to learn how to take care of kids and how to teach them about God. The other thing is that I will be able to improve my relationship with God. what excites me most about serving in youth ministry are the people. The kids, the counselors, the helpers, everyone!!! Working at SDC really allows me to have fun while work at the same time, it's a small glimpse into what the work place may be, not the activities but the environment.
